As the cylinder and test equipment are being filled with water, care shall be taken to ensure that no air is trapped in the circuit by operating the hydraulic pump until water is discharged from the vent or air-release valve. During the test, pressurization shall be carried out in two successive stages. 

a) In the first stage, the pressure shall be increased at a rate of not more than 5 bar/s up to a pressure value corresponding to the initiation of plastic deformation. 

b) In the second stage, the pump discharge rate shall be maintained at as constant a level as possible until the cylinder bursts.

Seamless gas cylinder

1) The form of the universal seamless cylinder is: the cylinder body is cylindrical, one end is convex, concave or H-shaped bottle bottom, and the other end is a spherical bottle shoulder with a neck. Above the neck there is a bottle opening with tapered threads for the assembly of the bottle valve.

Commonly used bottle forms are: 1) concave bottom; 2) convex with base; 3) Convex bottom; 4) H-shaped bottom; 5) Bottomless double mouth.

Low temperature performance of gas cylinders

When the temperature is lower than a certain critical value, the impact toughness of steel is significantly reduced. The impact toughness of different components of steel varies greatly at low temperature. The low temperature impact toughness of general low steel is better than that of carbon steel, which affects the low temperature impact of steel. The important factor is the carbon content of steel.

4、Marking Valves and cylinders threaded in accordance with this International Standard shall be marked by the symbol “17E” or “25E” as applicable.

5、ISO9809-3 25E UT 150bar GAS Tanks Argon Carbon Dioxide Cylinders

Quality assurance system personnel shall meet the following requirements:

(1) Quality assurance engineer, with working experience in gas cylinder manufacturing, quality management or inspection and professional education background of science and technology;

(2) Responsible personnel of welding and heat treatment quality control system, with welding and heat treatment working experience and professional education background of welding, metal materials and related machinery;

(3) Responsible personnel of inspection and test quality control system, with gas cylinder product inspection work experience and mechanical, welding, material, non-destructive testing and other related professional education background;

(4) Other quality control system responsible personnel, have the work experience and mechanical or related professional education background;

6、 United States of cylinders

Open and electric furnace steels are restricted to use except for 3BN steels, and the use of pure oxygen converter steels is not yet recognized . There are seven kinds of steel recognized by ICC3AA.

The material and heat treatment are not specified, the design reference is the yield point of the material. Germany focuses on improving tensile strength and yield point to develop lightweight cylinders. Of course, plasticity requirements are not high. Most of the cylinders with convex bottom are made of steel tube, and the pressure is 19.6mpa (200kGF/cm2).

7、Gas cylinder production equipment and process equipment
